about the artist...

Kentee was born, raised & lives in the rugged mountains of Ouray, Colorado. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado in Fine Arts & Recreation Administration, her art career began.

Kentee's husband, Tim, a Coast Guard helicopter pilot had a career which moved them frequently. It was during these 12 years in the Coast Guard where Kentee's art began having a voice. Kentee sold her paintings in juried high-end art festivals all over the United States.

Kentee and Tim decided to change lifestyles and move back to the Colorado montains to raise a family creating a solid home for their two children. Kentee loves to spend time in her studio with her children painting beside her and with the family dog at her feet.

I am often asked if I am able to paint other subject matter besideds flowers using other mediums. The answer is "yes". I have used every medium available, painting a cariety of subjects. However, my love is in oil painting and my passion is flowers. I believe my love of gardening, science and strong colors lend themselves to my flowers.
